Each year the Association of Fundraising Professionals Silicon Valley Chapter honors a member who has gone above and beyond in service to our Chapter with the Chapter Service Award. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize a colleague who has given significant time and expertise to ensure that our Chapter is meeting the needs of our members.
The 2019 Chapter Service Award Selection panel is comprised of members from the chapter as well as past Chapter Service Award recipients. The committee will convene in November to review the applications and choose the honoree.

Criteria for Chapter Service Award Nomination Submission
- The nominee, over a period of years, through her/his work as a Chapter volunteer:
(a) demonstrates exceptional leadership skills,
(b) enhances the ability of the Chapter to serve the fundraising profession, and
(c) is an inspiring role model for Chapter members.
- Nominee must be current in his/her AFP Silicon Valley Chapter membership dues to be considered for this Award.
- The nominator must be current in his/her AFP Silicon Valley Chapter membership dues to submit a nomination.
- The Chapter President, President-Elect, and Immediate Past President are ineligible
for the award.
Selection Process
The immediate Past President shall recruit a Committee composed of current Chapter members, including past recipients, to assist with the review of the nominations and selection process. The award will be presented at the December 2019 Chapter luncheon meeting.
