Fundraising for People with No Time - January Luncheon

When:  Jan 16, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM (ET)
Where:   Keiser University Flagship Campus, 2600 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL, 33409

When you are in a small or medium-sized organization with limited staff, it can sometimes feel like you’re a never-ceasing hamster wheel – you are constantly dealing with the day to day demands and seemingly making little progress. But any organization and any size staff can find ways to make the fundraising program more effective, helping to build resources and the case to grow. Using real-world examples, this session addresses the challenges of a small shop, provides practical tips on doing more with less, and shares thoughts on how to affect the culture of your organization to prioritize an investment in your philanthropic program.

Announcements

  • AFP Distinguished Fellows Announced for 2020

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) has announced its 2020 Distinguished Fellows: Susan Hosbach, CFRE, Dennis Stefanacci, ACFRE, and Mal Warwick. The Distinguished Fellows Program recognizes individuals who have made significant leadership contributions to the association, philanthropy and the fundraising profession, and who will continue to advance ethical and effective fundraising through their volunteer and advisory work. The designation represents the pinnacle of service to the profession and to the tenets of giving, volunteerism, and philanthropy.
  • New Mentorship Program

The AFP Palm Beach County Chapter is piloting a mentoring program to help build the next generation of fundraising professionals for Palm Beach County.   If you are interested in being a mentor or mentee, we invite you to complete the application located here.  Applications are due by January 15th, and you will be notified of your mentor/mentee pairings by February 1st.  Participants will be invited to a kick-off event on February 19th.  We suggest that you meet at least four times between now and June, which may include joining an AFP luncheon or other scheduled event. A recognition event will be held in June; however, we hope that the relationships continue long after the formal program ends. Should you have any questions, please contact Vicki Pugh at vpugh@cfpbmc.org or (561) 212-3637.  Thank you for your interest!
