Scholarships and Grants

The Great Smoky Mountain chapter of AFP is pleased to support our members with scholarship opportunities for either membership or attending the annual international conference, AFP ICON.

AFP New Member Scholarship

AFP Great Smoky Mountain Chapter welcomes any individual who spends at least 50% of their work time devoted to fundraising to apply for one of ten new member scholarships. Applicants must be new to AFP and must agree to serve on a committee at the local chapter level during their scholarship year.

The scholarship deadline is Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Chamberlain Scholarship to attend AFP ICON 2027 in Baltimore

AFP Great Smoky Mountain Chapter welcomes any active Great Smoky Mountain chapter member who has not attended an AFP or NSFRE International Conference to apply for the Chamberlain Scholarship to attend AFP ICON 2027.

AFP ICON 2027 | Baltimore | April 11-13, 2027

With support from the AFP Foundation, every AFP chapter can offer one Chamberlain Scholarship, which covers the recipient’s conference registration, minus a $10 processing fee, to AFP ICON. 

The scholarship deadline is TBD.

Submission will be kept confidential and only viewed by the scholarship committee for selection of a recipient.
