Grant funding is an important part of the operations of many nonprofit organizations, but let's face it, it's not easy. So how can you determine if grants are right for you, and if they are worth your limited time and budget? This session will provide practical tips on how to set realistic expectations for grant funds, how to find grant opportunities, how to evaluate whether a grant opportunity is right for you, and how to prepare an application.

Presenters:
Anne Marie Mackler is the development director at Sedona Public Library. She has worked in fundraising and grant writing for 25 years, and has done grant writing workshops and trainings for Arizona Community Foundation; Delta Dental Foundation, and the Flagstaff Unified School District. as well tutoring grant researchers on Foundation Directory Online.

Annagreta Jacobson, Corporate and Foundation Grant Specialist with GoalBusters Consulting, has over 20 years of research and writing experience, serving a variety of organizations including Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff Family YMCA, Northern Arizona Food Bank, Mountain Charter School, and Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition. Contributing to the success of GoalBusters clients since 2008, Annagreta’s research and proposal development experience has also included a variety of public broadcasting, education and social service projects.
