💡How does AFP Membership work?

Membership in AFP is handled through AFP Global, our parent organization. When you join AFP Global, you are asked to affiliate with an AFP chapter. AFP Northern New England covers Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. While members are always welcome to contact our chapter administrator with questions, we may need to refer you to AFP Global for various issues. The AFP Membership Department is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm EST and can be reached by email - mbrship@afpglobal.org - or by calling (800) 666-3863.

There are many benefits, from professional development and networking to fundraising research and best practices. Here is a comprehensive description of membership benefits. Fundraising is a deeply relational profession, and AFP Northern New England creates community for its members across three very rural states with small nonprofits and fundraising staff who wear many hats. We are better together - join us! 

💡What types of membership does AFP offer and how much does it cost?

There are a variety of membership options to fit different needs including individual (Professional) and organizational memberships (Large Nonprofit and Small Nonprofit), as well as memberships based on where you are in your career (Young Professional and Retired). Costs vary as well. One of the most popular and affordable options is the Professional membership, which costs $320 for one year (includes chapter dues). If cost is a concern, scholarships and payment plans are available to make membership more accessible.
