AFP-NNE Committees

Conference

The Conference Committee plans, carries out and evaluates all educational, networking and professional development activities for the chapter. This includes conferences, special seminars or classes and any other programs that are deemed to be of value to the chapter and the region.

IDEA

Inclusivity is recognized and embraced as critical to the mission of AFP-NNE and shall remain an integral, ongoing, and proactive part of the organization’s governance, committees, membership, programs, policies, priorities, goals, activities, and objectives. The IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access) Committee Members act as advisors to all AFP-NNE Committees to provide guidance and support as needed.

Membership

The Membership Committee promotes the chapter and its activities and programs, attracts attendees for its programs and members for the chapter, and engages others interested in learning about or engaging with professional fundraisers.

Mentorship

The Mentorship Committee connects emerging fundraising professionals with experienced practitioners in the field. Through one-on-one pairings and group programming, the committee fosters professional growth, builds lasting relationships, and strengthens the broader fundraising community across the region.

Regional Connects

The Regional Connects Committee includes volunteers who host monthly networking opportunities for nonprofit fundraisers across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. These virtual and in-person gatherings give development professionals a chance to connect with peers and grow their professional networks. No AFP-NNE membership is required — all are welcome! Hosting a monthly gathering is a great way to provide support to fundraisers in your region.

Scholarship

The Scholarship Committee oversees the chapter's scholarship programs, which provide financial support to help fundraising professionals access educational opportunities, and professional development resources. The committee manages the application and selection process and works to expand access to these opportunities across the membership.

Sponsorship

The Sponsorship Committee leads the board and chapter in raising sponsorship and other philanthropic support for chapter activities.

AFP Global's Volunteer Opportunities

AFP volunteers are at all stages in their development careers, from newcomers to senior-level professionals. They are the heart of AFP – from helping to guide and support the mission of the Association, to developing and sharing knowledge about the profession, and more.
