Scholarship Opportunity for Donor Advised Funds Workshop

The AFP Alabama Chapter is committed to making professional development accessible to fundraising professionals. A limited number of scholarships are available for individuals who would benefit from attending the workshop but may not otherwise have the financial resources to participate.

Scholarship applicants must be currently employed in a fundraising role and demonstrate a commitment to the fundraising profession. Preference may be given to AFP Alabama Chapter members and those working for nonprofit organizations with limited professional development budgets.

Workshop Facilitators 

Ken Miller, CFRE

A dynamic and popular trainer and speaker Ken Miller, CFRE is the president of Denali Fundraising Consultants, a nonprofit fundraising consultancy he founded in 2014 after a long career in sales and management. 

He was awarded his Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2016 and received his AFP Master Trainer Certificate in 2017. He is a past member of the of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global board of directors and was also past-president of the AFP Alaska Chapter, past-president and founder of the Dartmouth Alumni Club of Alaska, past president of the Anchorage Gateway Rotary club. In his free time Ken enjoys mentoring, weightlifting, traveling, and reading non-fiction books.

Marci Bradley, CFRE

Marci Bradley, CFRE, is the Principal and CEO of Marci Bradley Consulting, helping nonprofit leaders build sustainable systems, clarify fundraising strategies, and move their missions forward with confidence. With over a decade of experience and more than $10 million raised across health and human services, youth development, and higher education, she specializes in fractional fundraising support, donor engagement, and strategic coaching for small teams. Marci is a Certified Fundraising Executive and an AFP Certified Facilitator who delivers practical, relationship-centered coaching, training, and customized workshops nationwide.
