Leading Diverse Teams: Positioning Everyone for Success
Strong leadership is an integral part of the success of an organization. As we move to create more inclusive teams that represent the communities served by the nonprofit sector, leaders are having to adapt their management styles to recognize diversity. As stated by Forbes, “A diverse team might be great on paper, people from all walks of life coming together to share new ideas. But in reality, if not managed well, diversity may lead to a productivity disaster.” Simply put, mismanaging the many talents of diverse individuals on teams can be detrimental to the success of an organization.
This session will focus on ways leaders in organizations can manage diverse teams successfully. Featured in the discussion is Leslie Celeste Alessandro, a Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor at Wondros who helps executives and managers understand their needs and bring the best and brightest to the organization. Joining Leslie will be Asia Bribiesca-Hedin, Founder and CEO of Bridgewell LLC Professional Services. Asia works with professionals struggling with bad bosses and toxic workplaces to help them reclaim their confidence, earning power, and sanity. Both veterans in the industry, they will be providing insight on the many challenges leaders and managers face in cultivating a diverse workforce, and how to successfully navigate those challenges.
Join us for an informative event that will prepare you to lead diverse teams and provide useful tools to become a well-rounded leader.
