AFP Central Virginia Chapter 2020 Mentoring Program
As a benefit of your membership, the Central VA Chapter of AFP offers an opportunity to chapter members who want to benefit from the experience and wisdom of seasoned colleagues through the Mentoring Program. The Mentoring Committee comprises seasoned professionals, each with extensive experience in non-profit management and fundraising, who will meet together with individuals new to the profession (5 years or less of experience in current role) to discuss pressing issues and explore topics of mutual interest. These valued professionals are volunteering their time – there is no charge to participate.
For those who are selected to participate, there will be an orientation/social event followed by a series of 7 informal group conversations, about 1.5 hours each, and will focus on topics pre-determined by mentees and mentors. Mentoring sessions will take place monthly April through December with the exception of August and November.
If you are interested, and can commit to attending the monthly sessions, please complete the AFP_2020_Mentoring_Program_Application.pdf and submit it via email to the AFP Administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, May 1. Notice of final selections will be sent to applicants.
