AFP Okanagan is grateful to Globe Trivia team Paul Doherty and Jude Brunt for hosting a fun Virtual Trivia hour for our AFP members and guests.
Paul Doherty is an Trivia fanatic who came to Canada from Strabane in Northern Ireland for a 12 month IT contract. 25 years later he is still here, and avoiding IT as much as possible by co-owning a restaurant up at Big White, entertaining guests with his comedy, trivia nights and general Irish wit and charm!
Paul's business partner, Jude Brunt, a co-owner of Globe, is also a passionate fundraiser, so Paul has no choice but to be voluntold to get involved with a whole host of good causes, which he does with a smile:) The connections between the restaurant and the local community are very strong and Globe is often the venue for local charity pub nights, auctions, wine dinners and other fundraising events. During regular Monday night Trivia Nights on the hill, the team has raised on average $2000 a season in loose change donations from guests which has then been donated to various charities over the years, including United Way in recent years.
