This is a high-impact opportunity for an accomplished executive with proven development and fundraising expertise. You will manage a relationship-driven advancement and modern membership program in support of a treasured asset and conservation leader in Northern New Jersey. The Society is poised to scale an already successful platform into a sophisticated major-gift and membership operation.

Salary:     
$150,000 - $200,000


Qualifications:
     

10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the nonprofit or public sector, ideally in a cultural, environmental, educational, or community-focused organization.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, including personally soliciting major gifts and managing donor relationships.
Experience growing membership, subscription, or recurring revenue programs strongly preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively with public agencies and elected or appointed officials, or within a public–private partnership context.
Experience working with a governing or advisory Board.
Experience in financial oversight, and organizational operations.

Salary:     
$108,000-$118,000 with bonus structure


Qualifications:
     

  • 7+ years of fundraising experience with increasing responsibilities, including managing staff.
  • Proven success closing five- to six-figure gifts and building toward larger opportunities.
  • Systems and strategic mindset: skilled in CRMs, moves-management, and driving organizational growth.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, research, and preparation skills.
  • Comfortable operating in externally facing environments, with ability to network extensively in Mercer County.

Job Description

NJF seeks a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser to lead and grow our corporate and individual giving program on a part-time basis (20-30 hours per week) or full-time. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Manager will design and execute a comprehensive strategy to cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners and individual donors with an emphasis on major gifts. This role will build the giving engagement ladder, manage a portfolio of high-capacity prospects, expand NJF’s philanthropic network, and strengthen long-term revenue sustainability.

Salary:     
The full-time salary range is $75,000 - $100,000. The part-time position salary will be a pro-rata portion of the full-time equivalent salary.


Qualifications:
     

Minimum 4 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including at least 2 years in major gifts
Demonstrated success in cultivating and soliciting significant gifts or high-value sponsorships
Strong relationship-building and donor engagement skills, and interest
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including appeal writing
Experience with CRM systems (Neon One is a plus) and donor tracking tools
Strong project management skills with the ability to establish and meet measurable goals
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

Provide immediate assistance and support to cancer patients, caregivers and/or those who are bereaved contacting CancerCare via a national toll-free Hopeline
 
Provide individual counseling, as well as support groups (in-person, via Zoom, telephone and/or message board)
 
Provide resource navigation via telephone to people with cancer
 
Address client needs by conducting timely and effective psychosocial assessments and evaluations as needed
 
Document all social work activities in a timely manner
 
Participate in local professional and community events

Salary:     
$67,304 - $68,334

Qualifications     

Minimum of one-year post-masters’ social work experience required; previous medical social work experience strongly preferred
 
Bilingual Spanish REQUIRED (oral and written)
 
A Master’s Degree in Social Work; Licensed Master of Social Work (LSW) credential in New Jersey is REQUIRED
 
A background in health, hospice or mental health settings delivering intervention to clients coping with chronic and acute life-threatening illness as well as with the bereaved is required.
