Meeting the Philanthropic Needs of New Jersey


The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), which represents more than 31,000 members in 240 chapters throughout the world, advances philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs. AFP fosters the professional development of fundraising professionals and promotes ethical standards in the fundraising profession. For additional information you can visit the AFP website.

The New Jersey Chapter of AFP (AFP NJ), one of the largest chapters, is an individual member association that advances philanthropy through education, training, and advocacy across the state. We base our programs and services on research, experience and the highest code of ethical principles and standards of professional practice.   • Strengthening a Community: Black Philanthropy in New Jersey

    You are cordially invited to Strengthening a Community: Black Philanthropy in New Jersey.

    This event is hosted by NJ PBS and takes place ONLINE on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 7 pm.

    Join us as we explore the history, complexity, and impact of Black philanthropists on the state of New Jersey. Moderated by Eugenia Harvey, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for The WNET Group, participants will include Jonathan Holloway, President of Rutgers University; Calvin Ledford, President, PSEG Foundation; and Paula Tuffin, Chief Compliance Officer/General Counsel for Better Mortgage.
  • FFHA invites AFP-NJ members to their Summit

    Focus for Health Foundation, a Warren-based grantmaking organization and AFP-NJ Chapter member, is hosting a Partner Appreciation Summit for their grantees at the Somerset Hills Hotel (200 Liberty Corner, Warren, NJ) on Thursday, September 30th.
     
    Out of the three day program, FFH is inviting AFP-NJ Chapter members to attend all of Thursday’s events for free, but registration is required.

    Programming includes a breakfast with keynote speaker, “Coach Ken Carter,” a series of Professional Development workshops around development and governance, retreat-like experiences, networking opportunities, one-on-one consultations with experts, and lunch.     This event is being hosted by the AFP NJ Southern Chapter.
