The Oklahoma Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals strives to be the premier source for the education and cultivation of Oklahoma’s fundraising professionals. It is AFP Oklahoma’s intention to establish a mentoring program for fundraising professionals at all levels to enhance their skills and learn from others in the field.
Purpose
To offer unique educational and professional opportunities for fundraisers at any skill level, including:
- new fundraisers who wish to be matched with a seasoned fundraiser with the skills, knowledge and resources to offer advice and provide one-on-one support
- mid-level fundraisers who have built solid careers but are looking to take the next step in their professional development
- seasoned fundraisers who desire to share their vast experience, knowledge, and skills with others in the field
Objectives
To strengthen the Chapter and the fundraising profession, and thereby the nonprofit sector, through
- furthering the skill base and proficiency of professional fundraisers in the Oklahoma Chapter of AFP
- re-engaging senior-level fundraising professionals
- increasing interaction between different experience bases in the chapter
- building strength within the chapter through education and development of future leaders
