Awards & Nominations

National Philanthropy Day 2022
Tuesday, November 15th | 7:30am Breakfast | 8am Program
First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland

AFP has streamlined its nomination process this year to allow greater equity and recognition of philanthropists at all levels. Instead of the six categories recognized in previous years, nominating organizations can now submit up to two nominations. Winners in each category will be determined according to their volunteerism and/or philanthropic support of nonprofits and charitable causes within Polk County, but every nominee will receive recognition at the NPD event.

Individual of the Year

Presented to an individual who exemplifies philanthropy by donating their time, talent and/or treasure to your organization.  Individuals can be of any age, including youth.  This person can be a volunteer and/or donor to your organization who demonstrates a commitment to philanthropy to benefit the larger community of Polk County.

Corporation of the Year

Presented to a business of any size that has demonstrated an outstanding commitment through financial support and/or volunteerism that encourages and motivates others to participate in philanthropy in the community.

Nominations are open until September 30th. A limited number of nominating organizations and nominees will have the opportunity to participate in a video that will share their stories. This opportunity is on a first come, first served basis so make sure you nominate early!
