☐ Commitment to the Miami-Dade community

☐ Impact on your organization (time, talent, treasure, testimony)

☐ Impact on other local nonprofits

☐ Awards or honors

☐ Additional supporting context

☐ Who will attend in support of the nominee

✍️ WRITING LIKE GALLANT:

☐ Use clear, concise responses tied directly to the nomination category

☐ Include specific numbers and anecdotes or mini-stories if possible

☐ Show depth (your nominee) and breadth (others/community)

☐ Use “Before → After” framing when possible

✉️ SUPPORTING LETTERS

☐ Submitted with nomination (mandatory)

☐ Written by people with distinct perspectives

☐ Include anecdotes and supporting evidence

☐ Add new insights (don’t repeat nomination text)

🚫 AVOID AT ALL COSTS

  • ⛔ Resumes, press, annual reports as substitutes 

  • ⛔ Vague praise (“very generous,” “highly involved”)

  • ⛔ Missing nominee availability confirmation

  • ⛔ Late or missing letters
