Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?”

Martin Luther King

The Southern Alberta Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals cordially invites you to join us in celebrating National Philanthropy Day on November 15. This special occasion will feature a social mixer and a story-slam hosted at the Owl Acoustic Lounge (606 3 Ave S, Lethbridge)

During this gathering, you can look forward to an evening of networking, refreshments, and captivating competitive storytelling. Our focus for the story-slam revolves around the theme "Adventures and Misadventures in the Non-Profit Sector: Personal and Professional Journeys."

Distinguished speakers at this event include Abigail Shakespeare, Roy Pogorzelski, Hailey Pinksen, Lori Harasem, and Oliver Twizell. Each of these individuals has chosen a charity, non-profit organization, or a specific cause that holds a special place in their hearts and will share a 5-minute story. Importantly, if their storytelling performances win the audience's favor, the proceeds from the event will be directed toward their chosen charitable cause.

We anticipate a meaningful evening, bringing together like-minded individuals who are dedicated to the non-profit sector and to celebrate the important role that philanthropy plays in addressing personal and global challenges.
