Born and raised in Waco, Texas, I am a proud graduate of Midway High School, McLennan Community College, and Texas State University. My passion for serving others grew through years of volunteering, chairing events, and serving on nonprofit boards throughout the Waco community since I was 14 years old. In 2019, I transitioned into nonprofit work professionally, joining the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children as a Development Specialist. After several years of service, I was recruited for the newly created role of Executive Director for The Shepherd’s Heart, where I have served under the leadership and guidance of CEO and Founder Robert Gager since November 2023.
On a personal note, I am blessed to say are thriving and considered a medical miracle while living with stage IV metastatic breast cancer with metastasis to the liver, along with chemo‑induced congestive heart failure, diabetes, and arthritis. Despite these challenges, I remains deeply grateful for life. I'll never forgets the words, “We are going to try,” and believes my journey has strengthened my purpose: to advocate for those in need and to serve my community with compassion and resilience.
