- What do you tell people you do when asked?
- I help families fight poverty.
- I am passionate about fundraising because….
- It’s wonderful to experience the innate sense people have to care for one another up close and personal. Having the opportunity to match donors with community needs creates a win-win-win situation for the donor, my agency and me. The more you get to know donors, the deeper the relationships can grow and everything else flows from a mutually beneficial perspective.
- What is your favorite thing about being an AFP member?
- Becoming friends with others who are passionate about helping our community.
- What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter our field?
- Don’t chase money, build relationships first.
- What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
- I’m the youngest of seven children all within 9 years from first to last.
- What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
- Grand Canyon (going in August)
- What is the best book, TV show or movie you’ve consumed in the past year?
- A Time for Mercy, John Grisham.
- What’s one item you can’t live without?
- My late wife’s wedding ring. I lost her in 2021, and it reminds of the precious time shared together.
