Please provide a summary of the work your organization does along a web address.
The Arc Jacksonville was founded in 1965 by a group of local parents and citizens who shared a common vision: a world where individuals with intellectual and developmental differences would enjoy full and independent lives brimming with opportunity, promise and purpose.

Since then, The Arc Jacksonville has impacted the lives of thousands of individuals and families, pioneering innovative new approaches and serving as a catalyst for change. From our grassroots beginnings, we have flourished into a respected community partner that serves more than 500 individuals a day—offering a full range of education, employment and advocacy services that empower individuals to achieve their full potential.

At The Arc Jacksonville, the individuals we serve want what we all want. A place to call home. A good education. Meaningful employment. A supportive community with opportunities for socializing, recreation and independence. Whether they are working at jobs in the community, learning how to live independently or participating in a variety of recreational programs, our participants enjoy a full range of life experiences in a nurturing and supportive environment.
