• How many years have you been in the nonprofit sector?
• I was an educator for nearly 17 years and have been working in nonprofit with Angels for Allison for 4 years.
• What do you tell people you do when asked?
• I run a foundation, Angels for Allison, that helps families who have lost a child.
• I am passionate about....
• Fundraising for future Angel families and knowing the work we do together will unburden a family in their darkest moments. Even on the hardest days, my work has a purpose for the good of others.
• What is your favorite thing about being an AFP member?
• I love meeting people and connecting with others.
• What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter our field?
• I would seek out other nonprofit professionals, ask questions, shadow for a day, and truly look inward to explore your goals and interests and what you want from your career.

• Angels for Allison honors the legacy of Allison's joyous spirit by alleviating the financial burden of funeral costs for families who have lost a child. Since 2010, we have supported over 1,400 families across seven counties in Northeast Florida, providing $1.4 million in funeral grants for children from 20 weeks gestation through age 18. As good stewards of our funding, all grants are paid directly to funeral homes. We partner with leading healthcare systems, social service agencies, and community organizations including Ascension St. Vincent's, Baptist Health, Wolfson Children's Hospital, UF Health, Community Peds Care, Kids Hope Alliance, Duval County Public Schools, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, and HCA Memorial Hospital to ensure no family faces this burden alone.

• What is something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
• I absolutely love to read—it's how I escape and relax.
• What is the next place on your travel bucket list?
• Grand Canyon
• What is the best book, TV show or movie you’ve consumed in the past year?
• The last three books I read were The Correspondent, My Friends, and Theo of Golden—all 5 stars in my opinion.
