AFP Manitoba is proud to provide award a variety of grants and scholarships to members looking to develop their knowledge and skills. Funds can be used for professional development, education and networking opportunities with fellow AFP chapters and fundraising experts from around the world.
Funds are provided in part through the generous contributions by our members and the community to the AFP annual fund - Every Member Campaign. Thank you to those who have donated! (Your support of the fund does not affect your grant application.
AFP Manitoba Fall Grants and Scholarships Intake is now accepting applications.
Fall grants and scholarships include:
The Chamberlain Scholarship is an incredible opportunity for an AFP Chapter Member who has not yet attended the International AFP ICON conference - the world's #1 fundraising conference.
The Chamberlain Scholarship will cover the attendance at AFP ICON in April 2025; along with a $500 grant to support additional conference costs.
Any AFP Manitoba members who will be a first time attendee can apply for the scholarship.

Please ensure you have reviewed the criteria and have all necessary attachments before submitting your application. The deadline for fall submissions is November 15, 2024. Decisions will be made by December 7, 2024 and all applicants will be notified of the results.

Patricia Hardy Scholarship for Professional Advancement - $500.00
Linda Lindsay Scholarship for Professional Development - $500.00
(Criteria: Organization must have an annual budget of under $1,000,000.00)

National Scholarship Program

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy—Canada offers Canadian fundraising professionals working for charitable and non-profit organizations the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in fundraising.
Financial scholarships, up to a maximum of $1000, are being offered to cover registration and travel costs for educational programs at the local, national and/or international level.
Educational Programs that can be funded through the National Scholarship Program include, but are not limited to:
- AFP Congress
- AFP CFRE Review Course
- AFP Chapter Fundraising Workshops & Conferences
- AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course
- AFP International Conference
- Other fundraising conferences/courses/tuition fees
