Dear Members and Friends of the AFP SEO Chapter,
As I look back on the last two years as President, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride for the wonderful progress we have made together as a Chapter. We have much to be thankful for.
We celebrated amazing leadership in our communities by recognizing philanthropists, volunteers, and fundraisers with National Philanthropy Day (NPD) Awards at two very successful awards events, and look forward to doing so again this November.
We expanded our outreach and increased our marketing which attracted new members, new Directors on the Board, and even non-members to some of our committees.
We continue to commit ourselves to the principles of inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility, and now are consciously looking at how we can do our part to protect the environment and engage in sustainable activities, to the best of our ability.
We asked your opinions in a survey almost two years ago, you responded, and we listened. We have consciously focused on how we can bring more member value to each and every one of you, recognizing the way we work has changed significantly as a result of the pandemic. We are here for you so please let us know if you have any other suggestions, or would like to join and/or volunteer. Your input and expertise are welcome and encouraged.
I have the pleasure and privilege of working with an incredible group of volunteers. They continue to impress and never cease to amaze me with their talent, commitment, and support. When we meet a challenge, we meet it head on and make decisions based on how it brings value to you, as our members. I have also thoroughly enjoyed getting to know many of you members as well.
It is my pleasure to continue to serve as your President and I look forward to what we can accomplish together in the coming months.
See you at our next event!
With enthusiasm and gratitude,
Marie Miller
