Session Description:
This workshop is designed for those who are new to grant writing and who are interested in developing skills in this area.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand the elements of a grant writing strategy.
- Understand why it is important to see each grant they write as a form of marketing.
Be introduced to a specific '3-stage' model of grant writing.
Facilitator:
Donna Forster, MSW, PhD, RSW has over twenty years of experience completing grant applications. Donna's community development and health promotions experience at Cancer Centre Ontario, as well as the various roles at Resolve Counselling Services Canada, including both Clinical Program Director and Executive Director, have developed her expertise in the area of grant writing and funding applications.
Donna earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Science and a Master's in Public Administration at Queen's University and an MSW from the University of Toronto.
