Mentor Program

The AFP-GHV Mentoring Program
The AFP Greater Hudson Valley Chapter Mentoring Program offers a unique opportunity for both new and seasoned fundraisers to learn from each other, share skills, and develop new connections.

This 6-month program runs from January to June and is open to all AFP-GHV members in all areas of fundraising, including but not limited to: annual giving, capital campaigns, event planning, grant writing, donor communications, board development, and more!

During the program, mentors and mentees will connect informally at least once a month to share challenges and offer advice, with a minimum total 6 hour commitment.

There will also be opportunities throughout the year to gather in person, in coordination with other AFP events.

Profile of a Mentor...
Are you an experienced fundraiser? Do you have a specific expertise in an area that you would like to share with others? Do you want to help guide others and make the fundraising profession stronger?

The program formally begins in January. Applications may be submitted at any time and mentees will be matched to mentors if available—if not immediately, then for the next session. Join us!
