2026 National Philanthropy Day Nomination Information
This year, the AFP Southeast Tennessee chapter will host the National Philanthropy Day event on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ultra Club at Finley Stadium, located at 519 W 19th St. The event will celebrate local philanthropists, volunteers, and nonprofits.
Nominations will be collected through July 31, and winners will be announced on August 21.
**Self-nominations are allowed.**
We can't wait to celebrate our local philanthropic leaders! See award descriptions below. Please note that you CAN submit more than one nomination, but you must submit a form response for each.
- Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy: For young professionals 23 and under who demonstrate volunteerism and philanthropy in the community.
- Corporate Philanthropist of the Year: For entities that have shown outstanding community spirit and commitment to building a better community for all citizens through contributions, active participation in community improvement activities, and encouragement of volunteerism.
- Volunteer Leadership Fundraiser of the Year: For those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for major fundraising projects for more than one nonprofit organization and who have made a measurable impact on the Chattanooga community.
- Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year: For those with a proven record of exceptional generosity who have demonstrated outstanding charitable responsibility and whose generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles.
- Excellence in Fundraising: For an organization that has executed creative communication, fundraising acumen, and an increase in giving for the past three fiscal years. Honorees can only win this award once every 5 years.
- Outstanding Fundraising Professional: For an outstanding individual fundraising professional who practices their profession excellently and has at least 5 years of professional fundraising experience. Honorees can only win this award one time in their career.
