Whether you’re new to advocacy or looking to strengthen your approach, this session will provide practical insights to help you drive meaningful change.
Amy Collier Carroll
Ms. Carroll is deeply invested in the community and has enjoyed a fulfilling career centered on service in public sector communications and nonprofit leadership. Ms, Carroll's leadership as the the Chief of Communications for Golden Valley Health Centers, includes oversight of communications, marketing, and government and community affairs of the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in the Central Valley.
Throughout her career, she has ppreciated opportunities to leverage her expertise in community building, organizational development and raising awareness. She enjoys collective impact through collaboration and civic engagement, currently serving on several nonprofit boards. She ahs received various awards and was recognized as an outstanding Woman of the Year in Senate District 4 in 2024. Amy has a bachelors degree in communication and a masters degree in organizational leadership. She loves music, volunteerism, running and traveling.
Yamilet Valladolid
Ms. Yamilet Valladolid has been recognized as a thoughtful and caring advocate for Social Justice, Health Care Access and Educational Equity. She has spent her professional life working in the Financial, Social Services and Health sectors. Currently she is the Director of Government and Community Affairs at Golden Valley Health Centers, a nonprofit organization that serves over 170K people in Merced, Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties, providing access to high quality health care for all, serving with dignity, respect and compassion. Ms. Valladolid fosters strong relationships with both community members and elected officials by building bridges and cultivating collaborative partnerships. She stays actively informed on health policies and emerging issues that impact the communities she serves. As the leader of the Community Health Outreach Department, Ms. Valladolid ensures the delivery of culturally responsive health education and prevention services via Community Health Workers/Promotores.
A passionate advocate for social justice, leadership and equity in health and education, she is actively involved in various coalitions and initiatives aligned with these values. She finds great fulfillment in mentoring first-generation college students and cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends.
Ms. Valladolid serves on the boards of the Latino Business Association Foundation, the Stanislaus Community Foundation, and the California Primary Care Advocates Board. She holds a Masters Degree in Public Health and remains deeply committed to paving the way for others to achieve their educational and leadership aspirations.

Two hour street parking is available surrounding the Gallo Center, with I Street often the most available. There is a parking garage on 11th Street across from MoChiMu and also on 12th Street (enter from H Street).
Please arrive through the main lobby doors (look for the Ticket Office sign), and veer left into the Foster Family Theater. The Gallo Center Development team will greet attendees as they arrive.

The state-of-the-art Gallo Center for the Arts is the result of a unique public/private partnership. Construction was funded jointly by Stanislaus County, which owns the facility, and contributions from more than 4,000 individuals and businesses given to a non-profit organization that today operates the Center.
