Scholarship Opportunities

AFP Indian River is committed to supporting fundraising professionals in all areas of professional development. Our Scholarship Committee accepts and reviews scholarship applications from fund development professionals seeking assistance with annual AFP membership fees, attending the AFP International annual conference and other professional development opportunities such as the annual Florida Planet Philanthropy conference.

PLANET PHILANTHROPY SCHOLARSHIPS (2)

Do you want to attend Planet Philanthropy, but you're not sure you or your organization can afford it? Apply for a Scholarship from AFP Indian River!

Preference is given to members who are not on the AFPIR Board of Directors and to fundraisers with less than three (3) years of experience. However, other applicants will be considered.

The scholarship consists of $800 towards registration ($650). The remaining $150 may be used to offset some expenses. Please see the attached application for additional information and requirements.

CHAMBERLAIN SCHOLARSHIP (1)

AFP Indian River welcomes any active chapter member who has not attended an AFP or NSFRE International Conference to apply for the Chamberlain Scholarship. With support from the AFP Foundation, every AFP chapter can offer one Chamberlain Scholarship, which covers the recipient’s conference registration, minus a $10 processing fee, to the AFP ICON.

The Chamberlain Scholarship program honors Ralph E. Chamberlain, CFRE. Mr. Chamberlain had a long and distinguished career of service to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), beginning in the 1960s when the organization was formed as the National Society of Fund Raisers (NSFR), through the late 1970s when the name was changed to the National Society of Fund Raising Executives (NSFRE), and until his death in 1999.
