Available Scholarships

AFP-IC offers many benefits to its members. One of the benefits includes the opportunity to receive a scholarship to continue your education in the fundraising sector, attend one of our events, and receive a new member discount on your first year membership.

The below scholarships for AFP 2024 ICON are now being accepted. 2024 ICON is April 7-9 in Toronto. More information on ICON can be found here.

Chamberlain Scholarship - Deadline to apply is January 10, 2024
The Chamberlain Scholarship is awarded by the AFP Foundation to a member who has never attended the AFP International Conference.  AFP-IC will cover the recipient's travel, lodging, and food for the conference.  To be eligible to receive this scholarship, you must be an AFP-IC member, you must be employed as a fundraising professional, and you can not have attended the International Conference before.  Click here for the Chamberlain Scholarship application.


International Conference Scholarship - Deadline to apply is January 10, 2024
The International Conference Scholarship provides and AFP-IC member the opportunity to attend the AFP International Conference at no cost.  AFP-IC will cover the cost of the member's conference registration, travel, lodging, and food.  To be eligible to receive this scholarship, you must be an AFP-IC member and you must be employed as a fundraising professional.  Click

Remember: Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry proof of citizenship and identity. A valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for U.S. citizens. The current routine processing time for a U.S. passport is 7-10 weeks.

Scholarship Requirements

Applicants must live in the state of Indiana and be engaged in the practice or study of philanthropy.  Applicants must be a current member of AFP-IC excepting new member scholarships. Organizations/individuals who have received scholarship funds for two consecutive years are not eligible in the third year.

All application language must be original and created by the applicant.
