Topics will include :
- determining what is a gift
- required information for receipts
- establishing fair market value of in-kind donations
- receipting for gifts of service

David Oyler is a development consultant focusing on increasing organizational effectiveness and capacity for registered charities and non-profits. He specializes in providing practical guidance on Canada Revenue Agency policy for registered charities, assistance for organizations seeking to register as a charity, fundraising program development, and strategic direction for revenue generation. David is an active volunteer in the sector. He recently launched the Atlantic Charities Initiative to support and strengthen the charitable sector in Atlantic Canada, is a presenter for the Canadian Charity Law Association webinar series, was a volunteer on Imagine Canada’s National Engagement Strategy, and has served on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Nova Scotia Chapter.
