Non-profits that fail to recognize the ever-growing philanthropic power of women, and to cultivate, solicit and steward them differently than men, will do so at their own peril. Abbie von Schegell, a pioneer in the study of women in philanthropy, will join us to share her wealth of wisdom and experience in the motivation, mindset and triggers of women philanthropists.
Over a prolific career, she has done it all as a frontline fundraiser, educator, author, trainer and consultant. She will also spotlight virtual strategies for securing gifts from women donors in the COVID-19 environment.
Abbie J. von Schlegell has been in the development field for over 40 years, as a consultant with several national firms for half of her career and as a senior development officer with four institutions. She has special expertise in women’s philanthropy.
In March 2018, AFP Global named Abbie J. von Schlegell Distinguished Fellow in the 2018 Class.
