Membership Scholarships

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Rhode Island (AFP-RI) chapter has committed to increase opportunity and diversity through twenty full scholarships in FY21/22 that are exclusively earmarked for new and established BIPOC professionals with fundraising responsibilities within their professional or volunteer roles in an effort to contribute to the transformation of the broader philanthropy landscape in Rhode Island.

This transformational commitment has been identified as one of the central strategic needs for the organization to advance and grow its membership and further the field as we recognize the central value of growing racial diversity and cultural knowledge. We make this change in alignment with both AFP-RI's recent strategic plan and commitment to antiracism as well as AFP Global's vision for IDEA.
