NCFC-Director of Development

Director of Development

Organizational Background:
The North Central Family Centre (NCFC) is a charitable not for profit organization in Regina, who for the past 20 years has been known for providing a safe space for children and youth to attend programs and activities after school. NCFC delivers a wide range of proven, successful structured programs and actives, and offers Regina’s inner-city children, youth, families, and
seniors the opportunity to participate in educational, sporting, recreationally, social, and cultural programs, and activities. NCFC has a proven, observable record, which affirms its commitment to the revitalization of the North Central community. Additionally, NCFC has programs to address Youth Employment, Housing Supports and Community Outreach such as clothing and food distribution, summer barbeques and Christmas Community Dinners.

In the last few years NCFC has been moving to a Social Enterprise Model that has resulted in a $12.5M investment in affordable housing funded by grants and a capital campaign, Hopes and Dreams (https://hopesanddreams.ca), to raise from the community $4M for a service-based community hub and refurbishment of the existing Centre. The campaign is part way there and is led by a small committee of volunteers in partnership with the South Sask Community Foundation and the University of Regina.
