There will be six sessions throughout the day that will inspire and provide practical tools to successfully plan a capital campaign, ask for and receive major gifts, understand and utilize the neuroscience of giving, plan and executed integrated annual campaigns, and allow you to brush up on the ethics of fundraising with some Ethics Jeopardy.

Holly H. Paulin (she/her), CFRE and partner at Broccoli Nonprofit Consulting Services Inc., has been a professional fundraiser for over 20 years, with extensive experience in annual, major, and legacy giving. She’s equally passionate about emotional storytelling and good data analytics, and strongly believes that the best fundraising happens at their intersection.
After working as a front-line fundraiser in arts, healthcare and post-secondary education organizations, Holly has spent the last decade as a fundraising consultant specializing in direct response, strategic development planning, donor communications, and integrated stewardship practices. As a former employee of two of Canada's premier fundraising consulting firms, she’s helped organizations across North America fulfill their missions by raising millions of dollars for social services, international development, health, religious, environmental, arts and culture, and educational causes.
Holly is a Certified Fund Raising Executive, a graduate of Humber College’s Fundraising Management postgraduate program, and holds a B.Sc. from Mount Allison University. She was Co-Chair of AFP Ottawa’s 2021 Fundraising Day conference, a member of the AFP Ottawa Board of Directors and the AFP ICON Education Advisory Committee, and is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences.

Don's deep-rooted philanthropic interest drives him to share his time, talent, and resources, empowering numerous non-profit organizations and positively impacting the communities they serve.
Don is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of fund development professionals. He serves as a mentor, offering guidance and support to aspiring individuals in the field. Don's commitment to the sector extends to pro-bono counsel for small not-for-profit organizations, assisting them in optimizing their fundraising efforts. Moreover, he is a sought-after speaker, leading various workshops and seminars on fund development, and equipping others with the tools and knowledge needed for success.

Chelsey Lemke, CFRE is the Sr. Director of Development at YWCA Regina and is in the final leg of a $70 million dollar capital campaign for their new Centre for Women and Families called the kikaskihtânaw Centre, which means "The Place we all Succeed". Before joining YWCA Regina, Chelsey held the position of Manager of Major Gifts with Habitat for Humanity Regina for four years, and spent many years working as a Labour and Postpartum Doula. Chelsey has pursued many community roles, non-profit and otherwise, including time with the ERBA, Tourism Regina, Winter Festival Event Chair, President of Power Group Regina, as well as Chair of Resource Development for the Regina Work Preparation Centre. Being a champion for our community’s most urgent needs – and for the organizations working hard to address these needs – is Chelsey’s greatest passion. Currently, she is President of the AFP South Saskatchewan Chapter and has held this role for five years.

Join us for Ethics Jeopardy over lunch and partake in some friendly competition as we tackle some of the complexities and confusion that arise around this topic.
