Mentorship Program

Chapter Mentorship Program

The AFP Greater Los Angeles Chapter is proud to launch a structured Mentorship Program beginning April 2026, designed to strengthen member engagement, develop emerging fundraising leaders, support CFRE pursuit, and build a strong pipeline for future committee and board leadership. Modeled after successful peer chapters, this program reflects AFP GLAC’s commitment to professional growth, ethical fundraising excellence, and cross-sector connection within LA’s philanthropic community.

The program includes a six-month active mentorship cycle with monthly one-on-one meetings and bimonthly cohort gatherings for group discussion and shared learning. Applications for both mentors and mentees are due April 10 with matching notifications to be sent on April 24 and onboarding taking place April 29 (virtual). Participants commit to at least one meeting per month (4–6 total meetings) and attending cohort sessions. Matches will consider sector, experience level, organization size, and professional goals.
