The AFP Greater Los Angeles Chapter is proud to launch a structured Mentorship Program beginning March 2026, designed to strengthen member engagement, develop emerging fundraising leaders, support CFRE pursuit, and build a strong pipeline for future committee and board leadership. Modeled after successful peer chapters, this program reflects AFP GLAC’s commitment to professional growth, ethical fundraising excellence, and cross-sector connection within LA’s philanthropic community.
The program includes a six-month active mentorship cycle (April 1–October 31) with monthly one-on-one meetings and bimonthly cohort gatherings for group discussion and shared learning. Applications for both mentors and mentees are due March 25, with matching and onboarding taking place April 1 (virtual). Participants commit to at least one meeting per month (4–6 total meetings) and attending cohort sessions. Matches will consider sector, experience level, organization size, and professional goals.
