Then the centerpiece of the get together will be a presentation by our featured presenter Nowshad (Shad) Ali, CFRE, who will talk about how the future landscape of fundraising is changing based on current donor giving trends and insights with a focus on AI and Philanthropy.Shad Ali, CFRE, is a well-regarded speaker at conferences such as AFP International Conference and AFP Toronto Congress where his sessions consistently score in the top 95 plus percentile. Shad has served on several AFP International and Canadian Committees, including having chaired the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy Canada Research Committee and the AFP International Research Council.Shad's presentation will be followed by special remarks from Mary Leong Saunders, Vice President of Philanthropy at Hawai‘i Community Foundation, who will share her thoughts on the outpouring of support for those affected by the Maui Wildfires and the impact on programs and philanthropy.Mary Leong Saunders has worked in the nonprofit sector for almost 20 years. Prior to joining the Hawaii Community Foundation she was the VP of Philanthropy at Catholic Charities Hawaii helping to manage over $100 million in rent relief during the pandemic. Saunders was also the executive director of Family Promise of Hawaii, a homeless shelter for families on Oahu.We will also have our favorite lucky prize drawing!
