We invite you to join us online on Friday, December 4, at noon for this year’s AFP Aloha Chapter Annual Meeting. This year's annual gathering will be virtual and FREE to AFP members and just $10 for non-members. The lunchtime event will include highlights from the Aloha Chapter in 2020, announcement of our 2021 board, announcements for the coming year, and great prize giveaways!
As a follow-up to AFP’s National Philanthropy Day session, we’ll also host a conversation-style panel on trends seen locally in philanthropic support in a keynote discussion on “Reframing Philanthropy--the Conversation Continued.” We’ll expand on the conference takeaways and explore how 2020 has highlighted and even accelerated change in our sector by touching on specific trends in equity-centered and trust-based philanthropic partnerships.
The conversation will be guided by Ophelia Bitanga-Isreal, Principal/Owner, Integridad Consulting, LLC, Brant Chillingworth, Senior Program Officer, Hau‘oli Mau Loa Foundation, and Dawn Mahi, Senior Program Officer, Consuelo Foundation. These three local thought leaders and grassroots level change-makers will share about the needs, opportunities and perhaps harsh realities that the past year has prompted. Read their bios here.
We’ll leave with actionable steps that nonprofit professionals can take away in order to participate in this “continued conversation,” and we invite you to submit your thoughts or questions to our panelists in advance, using our online form.
