Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Tri-State Chapter (AFPGTS) honors donors and volunteers whose gifts of time, expertise and resources make a significant contribution to the success of the not-for-profit agencies and institutions they serve.
We invite you to nominate worthy individuals and organizations for their role in supporting the causes that mean a great deal to all of us. Nominations are welcome from all individuals and organizations.

A judging committee, comprised of past honorees, foundation executives, corporate executives, agency directors and other area leaders, will review nominations for the following categories:
Outstanding Individual Philanthropist
This award is presented to an individual or family with a proven record of exceptional generosity given their capacity to give; who through direct financial support has demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility; and whose generosity encourages others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community affairs.
Outstanding Philanthropic Organization
This award is presented to a business, corporation or foundation that has demonstrated outstanding commitment through financial support and encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community affairs.
Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy
This award is presented to an individual or group between the ages of 5 and 23 who has/have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, and/or leadership in philanthropy.
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional skills in coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for one or more major fundraising project(s) for the benefit of a charitable institution, as well as a commitment to the advancement of philanthropy.
Outstanding Professional Fundraiser
This award is presented to an outstanding individual fundraising professional who practices his/her profession in an exemplary manner. Nominees are limited to AFP members only but are accepted by anyone. For a list of current members, please click here.
Judge's Award
This award may be presented to an outstanding individual or organization that has made a significant impact on philanthropy in our community but does not fit into one of the above categories.
Individuals or organizations who have been previously recognized are not eligible to receive the same award. A list of the past National Philanthropy Day® recipients is available.
