Engaging Volunteers of Affluence & Influence through Special Events

Now more than ever, non-profits need to be strategic in engaging top level volunteers through Special Events.   This presentation will talk about post COVID world and what trends the American Cancer Society is seeing with our gala and golf events to re-engage and expand our volunteer base to grow our signature events. 

Renée Croteau serves as the Enterprise Strategic Director of Distinguished Events for the American Cancer Society.  She has more than 20 years in the non-profit industry.  For most of her career she was at the American Heart Association where she served in various roles in the field, from implanting events to overseeing the field as a Senior Vice President. 

Most recently Renée was with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where she served as the Executive Director in Northern California and was recognized nationally for her revenue growth.  She has extensive experience working with top level volunteers to raise funds through best-in-class events.  She is a strategic thinker, who loves coaching others to think big and utilize volunteers to get there.

Renée holds a BA in Social Work and a master’s degree in Non-Profit Management.

This program is approved for 1.25 CFRE credits.
