The two session course (April 3 and April 10, both nights 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM) will cover the history of planned gifts, types of gifts that make up the world of planned giving, planned giving sources of information, and setting up and marketing of a Planned Giving Program at various levels. The program is ideal for anyone in, or interested in, the development area within a 501(c)3 organization.
You must attend both three hour sessions to be eligible for 6 CFRE credits.
Your instructor is James E. Meyer (Jim), MS Hunter College, MEd Columbia University. Jim has taught Planned Giving at CW Post, Long Island University, Hofstra University, and Molloy College. He has lectured for the AFPLI, the Charitable Estate Planning Council of Long Island, the Nassau CPA Society, The Financial Planning Association, Long Island, the PPGGNY, as well as countless boards and charities.
Students are encouraged to bring dinner/snacks/beverages. There will be two short breaks.
Registration is limited to ten students.
Full participation in Planned Giving is applicable for 6 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification
