He has built strategic partnerships and secured transformational funding for organizations across the health, education, environment, and community development sectors.
He currently serves on the Boards of the Canadian Mental Health Association (Ottawa Branch), the Canadian Association of Gift Planners, and the Alzheimer Society of Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville, contributing to governance, finance, and strategic planning committees. Matthew’s professional experience includes advancing philanthropy for organizations such as the Ottawa Network for Education, CHEO, Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, and the Canadian Mental Health Association (Calgary Branch). He has led major gift, corporate partnership, digital fundraising, sponsorship, endowment, and planned giving initiatives that have generated millions of dollars to drive community impact.
Passionate about ethical fundraising and sector collaboration, Matthew contributes to AFP Ottawa as Government Relations Chair, where he helps strengthen advocacy and professional standards for fundraisers across the region.
