Allison Traxler's Bio
Allison Traxler named the Executive Director for Capital Area Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in 2022. The mission of CASA is to recruit, train and supervise volunteers to advocate for the timely placement of foster children in safe, permanent homes. She was previously employed as the Vice President of Development for Volunteers of America for 15 years. She has over 25 years of non-profit, marketing, public relations, grant writing, communications, and fundraising experience and is a graduate of Leadership Baton Rouge. Allison currently serves on several local boards and was awarded the Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award for the Association of Fundraising professionals in 2003. Ms. Traxler is active in her children’s schools and is a member of Quota Club, Kappa Sigma Mothers club, a sustainer of the Junior League of Baton Rouge and the past president of Elan Cotillion and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She enjoys volunteering and spending time with her husband, Jon and children; Emma, Wesley and Grey plus her four dogs – YES, that is a number four!
