2023 National Philanthropy Day
National Philanthropy Day is Wednesday, November 15, 2023

This is a day where we get to feel the love and share the stories of community giving and leadership in giving throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. A day to celebrate the many people in our community, who give of their time, talent and treasures to support our communities and make them better.

The year's event will take place at the Capital Hotel, 208 Kenmount Rd, St. John's, NL. Doors will open at  8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM start. Coffee and pastries will warm your belly and the stories of giving will warm your heart.

2022 National Philanthropy Day
National Philanthropy Day is Tuesday, November 15, 2022

This is a day where we get to feel the love and share the stories of community giving and leadership in giving throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. A day to celebrate the many people in our community, who give of their time, talent and treasures to support our communities and make them better.

The event will take place at the Manuals River Interpretation Centre, at 830 am for a 900 am start. Coffee and pastries will warm your belly and the stories of giving will warm your heart.

2021 National Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day is November 15, 2021.  
We will celebrate the many people in our community, who give of their time, talent and treasures to support our communities and make them better.

The 2021 National Philanthropy Day Awards Ceremony honoring outstanding philanthropic achievement in Newfoundland and Labrador 8:30am on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Manuel’s River Interpretation Centre.

These awards celebrate individuals, businesses and organizations that demonstrate outstanding commitment and leadership to philanthropy throughout our Province.

Registration is required to attend. Due to Covid-19 Public Health Guidance, this event is by invitation only.


2020 National Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day is November 15, 2020.  

We will celebrate the many people in our community, who give of their time, talent and treasures to support our communities and make them better.

Due to current public health restrictions, there will be a smaller, socially distanced gathering on Monday November 16 starting at 8:30am with the AFP NL board of directors, award winners and their nominators to present the Spirit of Philanthropy awards.

The event will also unfold on the AFP NL Facebook page starting at 8:30am, with videos and announcements of this year's Spirit of Philanthropy award winners in the following categories:
• Rising Star Award
• Outstanding Fundraising Executive
• Outstanding Special Event
• Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist Award
• Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer Award (Individual)
• Spirit of Philanthropy Award (Group)
• Outstanding Philanthropist Award

We look forward to celebrating National Philanthropy Day first thing Monday morning!!
