Scholarship Opportunities

AFP Eastern Iowa chapter offers various scholarship opportunities to members. We are here to make professional resources, education and advancements accessible to all.
In the past, we've awarded scholarships and grants for things like annual AFP memberships, Chamberlain Scholarships, educational sessions and more.

A great way to tap into the resources of your AFP membership is to apply for a scholarship. Several awards are available directly through the Eastern Iowa Chapter, and AFP Global also awards hundreds of scholarships each year. By applying for a scholarship, you can unlock new possibilities for your career development and expand your network within the fundraising community. Whether you are looking to attend conferences, pursue certifications, or access educational materials, scholarships can help you achieve your goals and impact your work.

As fundraising professionals, we must unite to support one another's growth and development.

That’s why we ask you to share these opportunities broadly within your networks. By joining AFP, individuals can learn from experts in the field, network with other fundraising professionals, and enhance their skills at no additional cost. Whether someone is new to the profession or has years of experience, AFP offers valuable resources for professional development and growth as a leader in the field.

Ralph E. Chamberlain, CFRE, had a long and distinguished career of service to the Association of Fundraising Professionals, from the 1960s until he passed in 1999. Because of his long-time support of the Foundation's annual fund and generous planned gift, the International AFP Board of Directors renamed their Conference Scholar Program in 2000 to honor Mr. Chamberlain's memory and commitment to the Association.
