AFP Eastern Iowa chapter offers various scholarship opportunities to members. We are here to make professional resources, education and advancements accessible to all.

Ralph Chamberlain Scholarship ~ DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JANUARY 21, 2022!

The Ralph Chamberlain Scholarship provides a scholarship for a member of the Eastern Iowa Chapter for conference registration to AFP ICON 2022 in Las Vegas May 2-4. Candidates must be employed as a full-time fundraising professional or spend at least fifty percent of their time fundraising for their employer. Candidates must have never attended an AFP or NSFRE International Conference on Fundraising as a registered participant (unless as a member of the Conference Host Committee) and is enthusiastic to attend the full conference as scheduled. Candidates must provide proof of full vaccination to be granted access to the event. Candidates must agree to complete an online evaluation form about his or her experience at AFP ICON.

Application Process

  1. Applicants must complete this Eastern Iowa AFP Chapter application and return to tami@iowavalleyhabitat.org.  ~ NO LATER THAN JANUARY 21, 2022.
  2. The scholarship will be paid directly to the International Conference registration.
  3. Chamberlain Scholars will receive instructions from AFP International for registering themselves for the conference.
  4. Scholars are responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements.

Ralph E. Chamberlain, CFRE had a long and distinguished career of service to the Association of Fundraising Professionals, beginning in the 1960s and until his death in 1999. Because of his long-time support of the Foundation's annual fund and generous planned gift, the International AFP Board of Directors renamed their Conference Scholar Program in 2000 to honor Mr. Chamberlain's memory and commitment to the Association.
