Jen Kiper serves as the Director of Prospect Development for UMKC Foundation and has made a deep impact on her organization as well as her community. Her leadership at the UMKC Foundation has been essential in paving the way for a new donor and alumni database system at UMKC. Jen's advocacy, ability to communicate, and innate talent for training staff has made the transition possible. Her aptitude of building relationships internally has given her the trust she needs to lead the UMKC Foundation forward. Jen's position requires her to interact with multiple departments, crossing a broad range of personalities and work scopes, but she has been able to navigate easily among this diverse group, speaking knowledgeably about fundraising, metrics, research, data, and data systems. Jen earned her law degree and Masters of Public Administration from UMKC. She is a member of AFPKC and volunteers for multiple organizations including KC Fringe Festival and Folk Alliance International. Jen has a servant’s mindset and a passion for the arts. These characteristics merge seamlessly to fuel her involvement with a number of nonprofits, where she consistently donates her time on evenings and weekends.
