A collaboration of AFP San Fernando Valley, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties

At some point or another, all organizations must develop or revise a strategic plan that guides and enables their organization to advance its mission. Equally important is as the sector evolves, so must the process and elements needed to create a strategic plan.

This year’s AFP Symposium is tailored to help you consider new ideas and practices to better position you and your organization as you move forward to address the ever-changing issues facing our communities through your strategic plan. Whether this is your first rodeo or you’re a member of the strategic planning club, AFP Symposium will offer you valuable information through workshops and addresses by distinguished speakers who will share their experience and fundraising knowledge that will appeal to both seasoned fundraising professionals, board members, nonprofit executives, and those who are new to our not-for-profit community.

Land Statement

Greater San Fernando Valley Chapter and Santa Barbara-Ventura Chapter of the Association on Fundraising professionals are located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Chumash, Fernandeño, Tataviam, Kitanemuk, Gabrieleno, and Serrano people. We invite all those on the call to use  https://native-land.ca/ resource to learn about the Native lands you are on. You can share with us in the chat.

These lands continue to carry the stories of these Nations and the people’s struggles for survival and identity. We recognize that Indigenous peoples are the caretakers of the land we now occupy. We offer respect and gratitude to the many Indigenous peoples residing in the Greater San Fernando Valley, Santa Barbara, Ventura area, and across California and their ancestors.
