Matt will explore how organizations can move beyond simply tracking information to using their CRM and technology tools intentionally—shifting from asking “Why?” to asking “What if?”—to uncover insights, improve decision-making, and strengthen impact.

Matt has dedicated his career to helping nonprofits change the world by leveraging and learning from data. Matt first began his belief in data during a sales career for a printing and shipping company, but wanted to do something more meaningful than selling copies. He found his cause in his role as an Assistant Director of Development Services at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, where he paired data, people, and possibilities with fundraising,  From there, Matt branched off into all aspects of working with data to create better outcomes for students; ranging from reporting and analytics, data architecture, data governance, and even data cleanup. (Cleanup is fun!)  Throughout his time at Public and Private Universities and Colleges, Nonprofits addressing global homelessness and financial equity, and that one start-up CRM company that we're not going to talk about, Matt has strived to share his joy of uncovering stories within data to forge relationships and make lives better.  

He currently lives in Wooster, OH, with his incredibly patient and beautiful wife, his two super-reader athlete kids, and a 15 year old corgi named Foxie - the fuzzy genius who inspired the founding of DataCorgi.
