Volunteer Opportunities

One of the many benefits of membership with AFPNEO is the opportunity to network with your professional peers and the best way to network is by volunteering for one of our many committees! AFPNEO is a volunteer organi
zation and volunteering on and/or leading a Chapter committee is a benefit of membership.

Would you like to help further philanthropy while making great connections? An AFPNEO committee is the perfect place for you!

We need volunteers for the following committees:

National Philanthropy Day Committee
The committee plans and organizes the November National Philanthropy Day event recognizing local philanthropists at an annual luncheon. All facets of the awards process, including nominations, judging, marketing, sponsorships, and event logistics are managed by this committee.

FOCUS on Philanthropy Committee
Members identify key-note and break-out session presenters, solicit sponsorships and vendors, and coordinate this day-long professional development conference held annually.

Membership Committee
This committee develops and implements strategies to identify and recruit new members and retain existing ones; conducts outreach to prospective members by mail, e-mail, phone, and in-person at chapter events; plans programs to benefit chapter members.

Professional Development Committee
Members of this committee plan, organize, promote, and evaluate the chapter's year-round professional development programs.

IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Access, Equity)
Lend your voice. Adopt, monitor, and promote a diversity and inclusion plan to achieve a diverse and inclusive environment within AFPNEO. Working closely with other committees, IDEA ensures professional development opportunities include topics based on IDEA and ensure diversity and inclusion are considered when developing programs and communicating to the membership.  Round out the Diversity & Ethics committee with your unique perspective.

Communications Committee
