Our Panelists:

Samantha Zink currently serves as Director of Donor Relations for the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. In this role, Samantha oversees donor relations programming, with special focus on expressing gratitude, recognizing donors and sharing impact. Samantha joined Kent State University in 2014 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Allegheny College and a Master of Public Administration from Kent State.

Marion Drake is currently the Interim Vice President for Advancement at Walsh Jesuit High School, where she oversees fundraising, alumni engagement, marketing and communications, and donor relations. In this role, she leads all fundraising efforts while providing leadership and cultivating relationships with donors. Marion is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive advancement programs that advance the mission of the school. In one of her past roles, she created a custom stewardship program to engage donors and increase donor retention as the Stewardship and Database Manager.

Alicia Gaffney currently serves as Director of Principal Gifts and Volunteer Engagement for the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. In this role, Alicia leads the principal gifts working group, provides leadership and execution of custom donor relations initiatives and liaises with the National Alumni Board of Directors related to board recruitment and onboarding. Alicia began her Kent State career with Intercollegiate Athletics in 2002 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ashland University and a Master of Arts in Sport Administration from Kent State University.
