Alicia Beck -

Alicia Beck is the Philanthropy Director for UMB Bank. Until 2019, Alicia was an attorney in the Kansas City, Missouri office of Polsinelli PC, where she was a member of the firm’s nonprofit organizations and tax groups and assisted both nonprofit and for-profit clients with formation, structure, and operational issues. She received a B.A. degree in Supply Chain Management from Texas Christian University, a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law (where she was a member of the Kansas Law Review), and an LL.M. from Northwestern University Law School. While attending Northwestern, she was awarded Top Oral Advocate at the European Tax Law and Moot Court Competition in Leuven, Belgium. She is the co-author of The Law of Fundraising.

Alicia is a member of the Kansas Bar (and former member of the Missouri and Illinois Bars). Alicia is currently in the Pinnacle class of the Centurions Leadership Program through the Greater KC Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors of the Lyric Opera of Greater KC. She is a member of the KCBJ’s 2022 Next Gen class and the 2022 Who’s Who of Bankers in Kansas City. Alicia and her husband John enjoy raising their three girls under six.

Rebecca Hall Coulson Hall Family Foundation

Rebecca Coulson is a program officer for the Hall Family Foundation, a private philanthropic organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Greater Kansas City. The Foundation supports a number of non-profit organizations and community initiatives and contributes, on average, about $40 million to such programs annually. Rebecca focuses on strategic grantmaking primarily in the interconnected grantmaking areas of Prospering Communities and Growing Minds.

Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Richmond and a Certificate in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly School at Indiana University.
Rebecca currently serves on the following boards: American Public Square and Horizon Academy.

Jessica Hunt
Patterson Family Foundation

As Vice President of Programs and Strategy for the Patterson Family Foundation, Jessica Hunt is a member of the senior leadership team responsible for guiding the organization to achieve its vision of thriving rural communities.
Under the direction of the President, Jessica oversees development of the Foundation’s strategy and day-to-day operations. She provides general management of all program areas, including development, delivery, and evaluation of mission-related programs and grants, as well as leadership of a staff of Program Officers and Strategy Analysts. In 2021, Jessica managed a charitable program budget of approximately $25M that impacted more than 100

rural counties in Kansas and northwestern Missouri. The Foundation is making plans to expand its charitable activity in the next few years.
Jessica came to the Foundation in 2019 after spending nearly a decade in the corporate sector at Cerner Corporation. While serving as a Senior Program Manager within Cerner’s Population Health Services organization, she was responsible for several strategic initiatives and special programs initiated by Cerner’s co-founder, Chairman, and CEO Neal Patterson. These programs primarily centered around rural community engagement to improve healthcare access and health outcomes.
Jessica is a Kansas City native with roots in rural Missouri.

Gloria Jackson-Leathers
Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

Gloria Jackson-Leathers is vice president of Kansas City Civic at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. She is responsible for leading and funding initiatives that address various civic and social issues in the Kansas City area that fall outside the Foundation’s core focus areas of education and entrepreneurship. Previously, Jackson-Leathers served as senior director of Kansas City Civic for the Foundation.
Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Jackson-Leathers worked for many years in the banking industry as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and as a community reinvestment act officer with Commerce Bank of Kansas City.

Jackson-Leathers holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration-management from Park College and a master’s degree in public administration from the Bloch School of Public Administration at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She is a graduate of both the Kauffman FastTrac New Ventures program and the Kansas City Tomorrow program. She is a former commissioner of the Greater Kansas City Housing Authority, former board member of Visit KC, and is currently on the board of the Ewing Marion Kauffman School.
