New Year, New You... Lots to Do? Join AFPKC as we kick off the year with 30 tech tips to streamline your workday. From fundraising and marketing to HR, IT and internal communications, this panel with tons of nonprofit experience will share their tried and true resources to help you free up your time, make space for what matters, and meet your mission goals.

Meet Our Panelists: 

Jamie Roach, Operations Director, IFOPA
Jamie Roach serves as the Operations Director for the International FOP Association (IFOPA), where she works closely with staff, Board and volunteers and helps manage key functions of finance and accounting, human resources, information technology, volunteer management and reporting. 

Jamie has 15 years of strategic leadership and project management experience. In her career, she has worked as a fundraiser leading a team to raise $12 million annually, a nonprofit account executive for a growing accounting company and the executive director of a small housing organization. Jamie has a bachelor's degree in psychology from William Jewell College and a master's degree in nonprofit management from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Utilizing her experience as a Director of Development, Executive Director and Account Executive, Jamie values helping  organizations find efficiency and new insights into operations and programs.  She has previously served as the Treasurer and now serves as the Secretary for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Kansas City Chapter (AFPKC).

Meggan Rorvig, Vice President of Marketing & Development, M & C
Meggan joined M&C in 2018. She leads the company’s marketing efforts and also works with a variety of client accounts, including Veterans of Foreign Wars and Jewish Family Services. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Missouri. 

Meggan has a long history in nonprofit fundraising and marketing. Most recently, she dedicated seven years to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, raising more than $1 million annually through direct mail, digital fundraising, annual giving and membership campaigns. She is also skilled in event and community-based fundraising, having spent a combined nine years as a volunteer and an employee of The American Cancer Society.

Meggan is passionate about devoting her personal and professional time to helping our nonprofit community thrive and grow. She previously served as the VP of Marketing and the VP of Membership for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Kansas City Chapter (AFPKC). She currently serves as an Ambassador for United WE and holds annual fundraising events benefiting Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Chanelle Zak, Community and Multi-Media Coordinator, Lents & Associates

Chanelle Zak serves as Community and Multi-Media Coordinator at Lents & Associates, a strategic consulting firm based in St. Louis. Through this role, she provides leadership and support in the areas of strategic communications and marketing, digital media, and public affairs for The DeBruce Foundation, a national foundation committed to expanding career pathways.

Chanelle enjoys strategizing and implementing multifaceted plans to bring a vision to life. Before joining the Lents & Associates team, Chanelle served as Director of Communications and Community Engagement at Bishop Sullivan Center, a direct service agency, where she managed all aspects of their external relations and created a food insecurity simulation.

She appreciates the intersection of collaboration, data-driven evaluation, and relationships. Earning her B.A. from Rockhurst University, she is a certified nonprofit professional, is an anti-racism trainer and workshop facilitator with The Open Table KC, and speaks Spanish. She has had the privilege of serving on boards for Rockhurst University, JVS, and Teach for America-Kansas City.
